Porto is the main city in the Northern region in Portugal. It is the city that gave its name to Portugal designated as Portus Cale around 200 years BC and became the first capital of Portugal. The city of Porto classified as World Heritage Site by UNESCO is worldwide known for its wines, bridges, ancient and contemporary architecture, its historic buildings and monuments and the Douro river that separates the city of Vila Nova de Gaia where you can find the famous Port Wine Cellars. Porto Tour Program 1 (1 day):

  • Panoramic views over the city from different locations.

  • Passing and stop by the most emblematic highlights of the city.

  • Sé do Porto (Cathedral), construction dating from the twelfth/thirteenth century, in Romanesque style, that has been enlarged and renewed over the years up to its final setting, in the twentieth century, resulting in an idealized reconstitution of the medieval cathedral.

  • São Bento Railway Station, built in glass and iron structure has its main hall decorated with twenty thousand tiles that illustrate the transport evolution and events of Portuguese history and life.

  • Church and Tower of Clérigos, this baroque work by Nicolau Nasoni was built in the first half of the eighteenth century. The Clérigos Tower is one of the most emblematic monuments of the city of Porto.

  • Ribeira bank, with medieval origin, this square is thought to be one of the oldest in the city. A must see, with lots of exciting nightlife on offer as well.

  • Visit to the beach area (and "Senhor da Pedra" chapel in between the ocean and the beach).

  • Tour around Foz do Douro area (where the Douro river meets the ocean).

  • Last but not least, a visit to a Port wine cellar for wine tasting.
